In May 2026, City Council approved a waste reduction ordinance for Park City. The ordinance adds requirements for both businesses within 84060 and waste haulers that service the Park City area, including recycling.
Park City Business Requirements

| Participate in a shared waste program through a master association that holds trash and/or recycling pickup accounts | A memo indicating the master association or landlord who holds the account for each trash, recycling and/or food waste collection you are part of |
| Self-haul trash and/or recycling. Self-haulers must register a hauler, see below | Authorized hauler letter. This can be obtained by completed authorized hauler form below |
Waste Hauler Requirements (including businesses that self-haul to a recycling center)
- Register with the city
- Identify items you haul (trash, food waste, recycling, cardboard, etc.) and where you haul these items
- Properly label bins you service
- Report annually to the City the month amounts hauled, due each year on March 1
- Complete Waste Hauler Authorization form
