In May 2026, City Council approved a waste reduction ordinance for Park City. The ordinance, linked here, adds requirements for both businesses within 84060 and waste haulers, including recycling.
Waste Hauler Requirements (including businesses that self-haul to a recycling center)
- Register with the city
- Identify items you haul (trash, food waste, recycling, cardboard, etc.) and where you haul these items to
- Properly label bins you service
- Report amounts hauled
- Complete Waste Hauler Authorization form
Park City Business Requirements
- Contracting with an authorized waste hauler for trash and recycling services and providing active account numbers to Park City
- OR providing proof of participating in a shared waste program through a master association that holds these accounts
- OR self-hauling their trash or recycling and registering as a hauler
