Parking Permits Have Gone "Virtual"
As of 2021, most Old Town parking permits issued will be license plate-based instead of a hang tag or window cling. Most Individuals may link multiple vehicles to one parking permit. Only one vehicle from a linked permit may be parked in one permit zone/area at a time in order to be recognized as valid.
Resident/Guest Permits
The Residential Permit program helps preserve parking availability for residents and provide traffic calming during peak times. Residential Permits are available to any resident within the established Residential Permit Zone. If you are not sure if you reside in a residential permit zone you can find that on our residential zone map.
These are virtual permits that are linked to your vehicles you register with our office. Residential Guest permits are also applied for through the link below and will remain physical hang tags until further notice.

Residential Business Permits
You will require a Residential Business Parking Permit if you are a business operating in a residential permit zone for purposes such as nightly rentals, property management/maintenance, landscaping, plumbing, etc. The cost of these permits is $10 per day or $70 per month. Please note that any permits issued for construction projects within residential permit zones must first apply through Park City's Building Department.
Service Business Permit
The Service Permit is for service businesses operating within Old Town Residential or Commercial parking zones and need access to short term, on-site parking such as cleaning and maintenance. A maximum of 3 hour parking at a single block face is allowed. A valid business license is required to purchase this permit. This permit is transferable and allows for parking during all hours including weekends. Service Business Permit application.
The Old Town Business permit is available for purchase to businesses with a Main Street core area address. This permit allows for parking in the China Bridge parking structure, Flagpole lot, and Gateway Garage upper level. Initially, one Old Town Business Permit will be available for purchase per Main Street business. After the initial purchasing phase, there will be an opportunity to purchase additional permits for those interested. Please note that a valid business license is required to purchase an Old Town Business Permit. This permit is transferable and allows for parking during all hours including weekends. This permit is not valid during major events and alternate parking locations may be provided. The cost of this permit is $400.

Paid parking was implemented in the Bonanza Flat Conservation Area in June 2025.
Park City Municipal is introducing the Bonanza Flat Locals Parking Permit program to give residents within Park City Municipal boundaries convenient access to the open space, as contributors to its preservation. The permits will be effective June 2.
What’s Included:
- Up to two (2) free permits per household
- All-hour parking, including weekends, at Bonanza Flat trailhead lots
Details:
- Proof of 84060 (municipal boundaries) residency required (e.g., vehicle registration, utility bill, driver's license)
- Permits expire annually on December 31
- Non-transferable and valid only in designated paid parking areas
- Vehicles with unpaid parking citations are ineligible
- Misuse may lead to revocation of permits
Employee Carpool permits are available for employees of businesses in Old Town and allows free parking in the China Bridge Parking Garage and Flagpole lot located on Swede Alley.
Applicants MUST be an employee of a business with a Main Street area address. Carpools must be established with two or more applicants, meaning that two or more employees must plan to carpool in order to utilize the permit. The Carpool permit allows parking at all hours, including after 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The permit is NOT valid during major events. Alternative parking locations may be provided. This permit is non-transferable.
If fraudulent use is detected, carpool permit privilege will be revoked without exception. If a carpool permit is used by a single individual to park, all permits within the carpool will be deactivated without the ability to renew. Applicants agree with all terms of use associated with the Carpool permit.
Carpool Permits expire annually on June 30.

Please note that a valid for hire/ground transportation business license is required to purchase a DLS Permit, or if you are a Transportation Network Company, please bring proof of your contract with your company in lieu of a business license.
If you drive for Uber/Lyft, please click here for required documentation. This permit is transferable and allows for access to DLS Zones after 5 p.m., 7 days/week. Park City Municipal reserves the right to suspend the program during Special Events or unforeseen circumstances.

A permit to occupy public parking spaces may be issued for certain uses such as construction, moving, long-term loading/unloading after delivery hours. The application fee is $20 plus a fee per occupied space (22-feet).
