Our General Plan is a comprehensive blueprint that guides the City’s growth, development, and land use policies in the years ahead. It builds on decades of planning work and reflects the community’s shared vision rooted in four enduring values: small-town character, sense of community, natural setting, and historic preservation. To bring that vision to life, the plan focuses on five major themes:

  • Transportation – Improving mobility, connectivity, and reducing dependence on cars.
  • Community Character – Protecting Park City’s history, unique look, feel, and sense of place.
  • Moderate Income Housing – Expanding affordable and workforce housing opportunities, with a goal to house 15% of the City’s workforce.
  • Water and Open Space – Preserving natural resources, green spaces, and reducing water use.
  • Sustainability – Supporting environmental stewardship and climate resilience.
