Do you have a Historic Building that needs rehabilitation or safety upgrades?

Federal, state and local financial assistance is available to support rehabilitation of Historic Structures in Park City.

  • Federal Historic Building Rehabilitation Tax Credita 20% non-refundable federal income tax credit for the rehabilitation of historic buildings that are used as income-producing properties, including commercial, or residential rental use.
  • Utah Historic Preservation Tax Credit a 20% non-refundable state income tax credit for rehabilitation of historic buildings that are owner-occupied residences or residential rentals. Click on the link to see what work qualifies.
  • Park City’s Historic District Grant Program (see below)

The City provides a 50% matching grant for eligible work that may include but is not limited to:

  • Painting Exterior
  • Repairing/restoring/replacing windows
  • Repointing masonry
  • Restoring Historic retaining walls
  • Repairing or replacing roofs
  • Electrical updating
  • Upgrading mechanical systems
  • Reconstructing Historic porches
  • Restoring Historic features
  • Repairing or replacing Historic Structure foundations
  • Abating lead, asbestos or mold
  • Upgrading insulation
