Do you have a Historic Building that needs rehabilitation or safety upgrades?
Federal, state and local financial assistance is available to support rehabilitation of Historic Structures in Park City.
- Federal Historic Building Rehabilitation Tax Credit – a 20% non-refundable federal income tax credit for the rehabilitation of historic buildings that are used as income-producing properties, including commercial, or residential rental use.
- Utah Historic Preservation Tax Credit – a 20% non-refundable state income tax credit for rehabilitation of historic buildings that are owner-occupied residences or residential rentals. Click on the link to see what work qualifies.

The City provides a 50% matching grant for eligible work that may include but is not limited to:
- Painting Exterior
- Repairing/restoring/replacing windows
- Repointing masonry
- Restoring Historic retaining walls
- Repairing or replacing roofs
- Electrical updating
- Upgrading mechanical systems
- Reconstructing Historic porches
- Restoring Historic features
- Repairing or replacing Historic Structure foundations
- Abating lead, asbestos or mold
- Upgrading insulation
