Park City & Summit County Vanpool Pilot Program
Park City and Summit County launched a Vanpool Pilot Program in partnership with the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) in Fall 2025 to provide convenient, cost-effective, and sustainable commuting options for employees who are not well served by existing regional transit routes. Vanpools are available for groups of four or more riders traveling along similar routes, and can be organized either by employers seeking to subsidize employee transportation or by employees coordinating their own commute group. To encourage participation, Park City and Summit County currently subsidize 50% of program costs for eligible vanpools.

Employees at a business with a Main Street address can get a free Employee Carpool permit for China Bridge Parking Garage and Flagpole Lot on Swede Alley. This permit allows parking at all hours, including evenings on Fridays and Saturdays.
