This Week in City Council
The City Council will meet on Thursday, September 4 at 3:40 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Agenda highlights include:
Resident Parking Program
The Council will discuss and provide direction to the Parking Services team for possible modifications to the Residential Permit Parking Program to assure they are aligned with Council policy priorities. View agenda item here.
Water Rate Adjustments
Following up from an August 26 discussion, the Public Utilities team will present amended fee options aimed at reducing penalty pricing for Single Family and Irrigation water customers. The Council will review and consider adopting a resolution that authorizes fee changes. View agenda item here.
Childcare Scholarship Program
The Council will be presented with an update on the City’s childcare program – including possible adjustments to structure and funding. View agenda item here.
Police Swearing-In Ceremony
Mayor Nann Worel will perform a swearing-in ceremony for the new rank of Sergeant for Officer Daniel Cherkis and new PCPD Officers Cory Bowman, Taylor “T.C.” Thomas, and Bradin Wilson. View agenda item here.
Clark Ranch Affordable Housing Development
The Council will discuss design preferences, housing mix, and potential City financial contributions for this proposed housing development on the eastern edge of Park City near U.S. 40. View agenda item here.
Special City Council Meeting Friday
The Council will reconvene for a special meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5 in Council Chambers to continue design and strategy discussions for the Bonanza 5-Acre Site with development partner Brinshore. View agenda here.

Enjoy ‘Coffee with a Cop’ on Thursday | Daily Rise in The Market at Park City
Thursday, September 4 | 8:00-10:00 a.m.
Come down and meet members of your local law enforcement community this Thursday for ”Coffee with a Cop.” Officers from the Park City Police Department will be at Daily Rise Coffee and available to anyone interested in sipping something warm (or iced) and connecting with the department. A special thanks goes out to Daily Rise for hosting this gathering.
Bike to School This Friday!
Friday, September 5 | 7:20 a.m. | Various Locations
Get ready to bike back to school with McPolin Elementary! Bring your bike and helmet and meet friends and neighbors at one of the meeting points below. Free helmets will be available to ensure safe riding.
Meetup Locations and Departure Times:
- 7:20 a.m. — Park City Heights (Ledger Way and Richardson Flat Road)
- 7:30 a.m. — PC MARC (1200 Little Kate Road)
- 7:40 a.m. — Aspen Villas, Arches Park (Comstock Drive and Sidewinder Drive)

SAVE THE DATE: Annual Scarecrow Festival
Saturday, October 4 | 2:00-4:00 p.m. | McPolin Farm
Come to the McPolin Farm and build your own scarecrow, displayed for everyone to see. Straw for stuffing is provided. Bring the items to build your scarecrow including a head, clothing, shoes, props, scissors and any other fun funky accessories you can think of!
